About Dr. Daher

Dr. Daher completed his fellowship training at New York University’s Hospital for Joint Diseases. He worked closely with the head team physician of the New York Rangers and treated members of NYU’s sports teams.

  • Biography

    Robert J. Daher, M.D. completed his internship in surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. After an orthopedic residency at North Shore-LIJ Medical Center, he completed a fellowship in sports medicine at New York University’s Hospital for Joint Diseases. Dr. Daher has worked closely with the head team physician of the New York Rangers. In addition, he treated members of NYU’s sports teams and covered performances for the Alvin Ailey professional dance company. Dr. Daher currently works as the team physician for two local high schools. As a former competitor in Division I athletics, he has a keen understanding of the demands and expectations of the high-caliber athlete. He has a particular interest in innovative cartilage regeneration and preservation procedures, ligament reconstruction, tendon repair in addition to shoulder reconstruction and shoulder replacement. His research has led to presentations at both national and international conferences, and has been published in the Journal of Hand Surgery and other national publications.
